Peggy Packer from Fresh Produce Industry News featured my quote in a February 2024 article about the launch of Heart-Shaped Raspberries.
The University of California, Davis holds a special place in my heart as my alma mater. ❤️
I love giving back to my community and mentoring students, helping the next generation of marketers navigate their career paths. One of the ways I do this is by volunteering at UC Davis, where for the past three years, I’ve traveled to campus each quarter to deliver interactive guest lectures for Professor Kristin Kiesel’s Managerial Marketing class in the Department of Managerial Economics.
In these sessions, I guide students through an engaging presentation on how Product Marketing drives revenue by aligning product innovation with consumer needs. The students are always eager to learn, asking thoughtful questions about Driscoll’s strategies and how they connect to their coursework.
I often wrap up with a fun Q&A session where students have the chance to win branded swag, and I always bring a giant cooler full of our specialty berries so they can experience the innovative products we discuss firsthand!
It’s incredibly rewarding to share my experiences with these students, and I love playing a small role in shaping their careers. I also provide them with an early look at potential internship opportunities and encourage them to connect with me on LinkedIn for mentorship and career advice. Each year, I take pride in helping a handful of students explore the world of Product Marketing and discover career opportunities at Driscoll’s.
